Ex-situ biological CO2 methanation using trickle bed reactor: review and recent advances

چکیده

Abstract Power-to-methane technology is a promising solution to facilitate the use of excess variable renewable energy for biomethane production. In this approach, hydrogen produced via electrolysis used upgrade raw biogas, which can be subsequently as fuel or stored in gas grid. Ex-situ biomethanation an emerging that could potentially replace conventional energy-intensive biogas upgrading methods and allow CO 2 utilization This work provides comprehensive overview on current status ex-situ with particular attention trickle bed reactor. The review includes description summarizes previous works topic. key elements related operational conditions, efficiency, microbiology using reactor are described here. Additionally, highlights technical economic issues have addressed future development large-scale implementation biomethanation.
